CST in Espirito Santo, Brazil has placed an order with JP Steel Plantech Co.(Steel Plantech) for the supply of new one(1) vertical-bending type two-strand slab continuous casting plant for the production of wide range of steel grade .

This continuous caster will have a production capacity of 3milion tons per year and is scheduled to be commissioned in the middle of 2006. This continuous caster is positioned as an essential core part of CST's undergoing Expansion Plan of the annual capacity from 5milion tons to 7.5milion tons, after completion of which CST will be top class steel mill as crude steel producer in Brazil.

For this big and important project, finally CST appreciated Steel Plantech's advanced high technologies with an abundant delivery records of the slab continuous caster in worldwide especially in Brazil, which prove that it comes from Steel Plantech's powerful integration of JFE Engineering Co.(former NKK), Sumitomo Heavy Industries Ltd. and Hitachi Zosen Corporation with their respective technology of continuous casting.
This is to be the 7th slab continuous caster delivered by us for Brazil.
