Our continuous caster has a lot of specific functions to enable high productivity and the production of high-quality slab. Especially, SP-Dynamic Secondary Cooling System and SP-Dynamic Soft Reduction are important and effective functions for the production of high quality of internal structure of slab, by each control system developed by us.
SP-Dynamic Secondary Cooling System
SP-Dynamic Second Cooling System can control the volume of cooling water in each secondary cooling zone automatically, depending upon the operational conditions such as heat data, steel grade and casting speed based on the temperature of molten steel measured in the mold.
In order to materialize the most adequate cooling slab according to slab size and steel grade, spray width control will be designed. Lifting type spray nozzle with continuous spray control system can be adopted for SP-Dynamic Cooling System instead of conventional fixed nozzle by utilizing cutoff valve with on/off control.
SP-Dynamic Soft Reduction
In order to minimize center segregation due to solidification shrinkage, the adaptation of soft reduction technology is very important. SP-Dynamic Soft Reduction can be effective for the operation of soft reduction even the immediate changing of the operational condition such as temperature of molten steel, carbon range and casting speed, according to the on-line automatic calculation of final solidification point.
